Bachelor of Physiotherapy from University of the Western Cape
Why did you become a Physiotherapist?
I became a physio to help people improve their movement, whether for pain relief or performance.
What are your special interests?
My favourite clinical areas include treating sports-related injuries, headaches, and general aches and pains. I have an interest in post-operative rehabilitation and neuro-rehabilitation (post-stroke, spinal cord injuries, etc.). I have good experience with sporting and orthopaedic rehabilitation and enjoy seeing people improve through these sometimes long processes.
I have completed extra post-graduate courses in Wheelchair seating specifics and Foundation and Advanced Dry Needling Courses. I utilise dry needling with clients to achieve quick and long-lasting results.
What are your favourite hobbies?
My hobbies are playing sports; rugby union and cricket, mountain biking, squash, and anything outdoors!
